First of all let me tell others, if you have the time to order swatches or samples before you order this pain online, do it. I highly recommend it. My computer monitor is pretty darn accurate, but not this time. I expected a really deep sea blue with a healthy dose of green to it. But in person, to me, it is more like a mid-to-dark denim blue. Whatever the case, the color still worked for my project and as I started painting with it I started loving it more and more. I have used every one of the big name paint brands and this compares, in my opinion, better than the best of them, at a much better price. I never believe a paint that claims it can be done in one-coat. And after painting with Clare paint I still don't believe it- however, Clare paint's flow, adherence and coverage are so darn good that your second coat is pretty much just touch-ups. And I think maybe if you were going over an already-painted surface in a somewhat-similar shade, you probably could get away with it. It is pretty exceptional at self-leveling and I had no problem at all keeping an even sheen (which is always my problem). And it lives up to its low-VOC claim. I'm a convert! I just need to order swatches ahead of time, next time!
